Oncology

The treatment of cancer patients is a complex, multidisciplinary task: an oncology team consisting of a surgeon, oncologist, radiotherapist and radiologist plans the best oncological treatment for the patient, taking into account the recommendations of international professional protocols. During and after a wide variety of modern and worldwide oncotherapy treatments, regular check-ups are performed to assess the patient's condition and the effectiveness of the treatment.
Chemotherapy treatment of patients with tumours, partly in outpatient and partly inpatient care. Cytostatic drugs may be supplemented with hormone therapy and immunotherapy where appropriate. The rehabilitation and psycho-social management of cancer patients is also provided within the framework of oncology. In palliative cases, patients are helped by hospice care.
