Pulmonology

The main professional profiles of the Department of Pulmonology are the specialised care of patients suffering from lung cancer, asthma, COPD, TB, sarcoidosis and respiratory allergies. Inpatient care also includes pulmonological rehabilitation.
A modern respiratory function laboratory, a body plethysmography laboratory and a bronchology laboratory equipped with the latest bronchofiberscopes are available to provide high quality patient care. In addition, stiff-tube examinations, laser treatments, invasive sampling procedures (carina punctio, transthoracic needle biopsy) are often performed.
Tumours invading the bronchial tract are burned by laser. Our patients are treated with the latest radiotherapy methods.
